hi all

I have discovered an oil leak on my 2000 hymer S630. This seems new as not noticed any oil before on floor at storage. Maybe a stone chip on front cooler? the oil seems very clean so could be a clue?

I wondered if anyone knew of a Mercedes commercial independent around Oxfordshire area?

thanks

Hi Marcus when you say oil leak and it's clean the two things don't add up engine oil unless changed very regularly will always be dirty to some extent clean oil could be gearbox or power steering oil it would help if you could pin point underneath were the leak appears I don't suppose anyone has top up your oil recently as it sometimes takes a while to seep down. Before you drive any further please check engine oil, power steering oil and brake fluid which is another possible

Rygor at Cassington on the A40 is the official Mercedes commercial dealer. I have had specialist work done there and not found them too expensive - also used them for spares.

Perhaps a bit too far for you, but for regular servicing I go to a private HGV garage in Banbury:
Peter Haines Engineers Ltd
They have looked after my Merc-based Hymer for several years.

Hi @tonytange The oil is very clean so could be from somewhere else? If looking at the van it is on the left hand side dripping from the tow loop at the front. But obviously could be seeping from anywhere? How do you know if you are low on gearbox or power steering oil?

Thanks @JeanLuc will give Banbury a try as motorhome is stored close by.
