I'm a Newbie
I recently watched a MH neighbour (not a very friendly one!) using an electric grill type thingy, on top of a table, to grill steaks, sausages etc, and thought it a good alternative to either using a barbecue, or slaving over a hot stove indoors. Can anyone recommend one, or would I be better just buying a George Forman?

We bought the Aldi one a couple of years ago but had to return it as it was faulty. We bought a Quest Healthy Griddle online and it is excellent. We would not be without it. It is a lower wattage, than the domestic ones as it is designed for camping, so not likely to blow fuses. It was about £16.

Edit to add: can' t do a link but World of Camping have them now for £17.50.

We always carry a double electric ring cooker to use when on electric on site and save on gas when abroad, and of course you can use it outside as well

Son bought us a George forman grill, one half hotplate other half has a lid. It's great & much easier than the BBQ when just 2 of you. Cooks fish steaks and seafood easily and keeps the cooking smells outside.(y)

We bought a GF, the long one that gives you a grill and a hotplate. Brill.

bought one last year to replace the one which died after 4 years,
good piece of kit.
Having gone all through posts, the tepanyaki is hot in the centre and cooler towards the outside the winfield one should be similar temperature all over, it is more like our original one.
