I suspect that the co-ax feed from the LNB is damaged inside the crank/rotating mechanism of my wind up dish.
Any of you Funsters got any suggestions on how to repair said cable ?

Can you use the existing cable to pull through a new length of cable? I have the same dish on my MH but it's in storage so I can't check the fine detail.

I had one on my RV.. and unless they have changed the design, the LNB cable doesn't go thought the crank mechanism, it is routed through a gland in the roof.. as you can see in this photo ..

seems like a good idea, will try, but there must be a coil inside to allow dish to rotate?

can't remember exactly how the cable is routed internally, that photo was 2007.. and the RV is long since sold.. , but don't think there is a coil or anything fancy inside .. probably just a bit of slack cable to allow turning back and forth, .. only way to find out is to have a look see ...

The dish can't rotate endlessly - it stops at a certain point then has to go back the other way. That would suggest the linkage may be uncomplicated, like a cable. Don't the installation instructions have an exploded diagram?

The most likely problem is a bad connection at the LNB .. wet and or broken.. but you will need to find a way onto the roof .. no other way.
