Can anyone reccomend anywhere to stop overnight in York this coming Friday and Saturday in our motorhome?
Have try'd about 6 campsites, and they are all full.
I would like to watch The Tour of Yorkshire cycle race finnish in the centre of York.

Keep ringing the caravan club site as they often have last minute cancellations and its 10 mins walk to town from there

If you're in the C&CC, two of the BCC branches have meets this coming weekend at Bishopthorpe and Rufforth. I think you can get a bus into York from Bishopthorpe, you certainly can from Rufforth.

The Lysander arms have a small camping park attached to the pub if you google Lysander arms York will come up, it's at Clifton Moor, so easy access to city centre via either park and ride or easy flat 20-25 min walk. accepts pets but is adult only, pub does great food too.
