Reading Ehout's blog (sorry probably spelling it wrong)
I've been inspired to do the Scandinavian and Eastern European route and take in some skiing too.
Has anyone done this and what was the skiing like?

Spent time skiing at Isosyte Finland - Voss in Norway - been to most of the larger ski resorts in Finland & Sweden out of season.
If you want to enjoy your motorhome and combine skiing - go to the Alps in my view.
If you then want a different winter experience after all the variety the Alps has to offer - then think about Scandinavia - but fly - or fly/drive andbook your own accom would probably best route?
PS I haven't read the blog you are quoting from-

The blog by the way is by travelbunyip - Ewout and Jenny
They didn't mention that they skied there but planted the idea of driving that big loop - crossing over into east Finland and dropping back down to Germany. One of the comments said skiing was good in Poland which got me thinking about skiing anywhere in that area.
We are going to have a few seasons in the alps first from our van but just looking ahead to years to come!

Motorhome touring/skiing in winter around the arctic circle/northern scandinavia is possible - but I think the downsides far outweigh the benefits - Know nothing about Poland though.
