Very disappointed to see the end of Joe. I found it very useful for my French phone and data. So now what do I do. What do people think of Three feel at home when in France? or do I get a le Clerc sim when I get there? I mostly need a sim for internet.

cheers

Joe was one of the cheapest solutions for long term travel in France (3 Feel at Home usage abroad is supposed to be limited in duration, I believe), so it's a pity to lose it. It's being replaced by Virgin at a similar price, but you have to have a French bank account to top up, apparently.

You may find other worthwhile options here:

We used 3 in France last year , worked everywhere for 50p a day . just been here for a fortnight, same sims, same phones , hardly worked anywhere, rubbish. O2 phone on contract worked everywhere and you can tether with it but it is £1.99 day

Must add 3 is 50 p a day whether you use it or not, o2 is only £1.99 a day for the days you use it.

I haven't used Lebara in France, but I did in Spain and I was happy. Website in English, easy to use and can top-up with a UK credit/debit card. Far superior connectivity to Lycamobile which was crap.
