Had a look at these bikes at the Newark show Electrobike Plus for the Wife.
Look like good value just wondered if any Funsters was using them.

Cheers Chris

They are probably the most common bikes on this forum with many satisfied owners amongst the Fun club. I purchased two almost two years ago and they have been very good, having said that I am toying with the idea of selling them as I purchased a scooter this last month.

ps, don't be tempted to purchase 24volt as 36 volt are much better... Griff

Yes, we have a couple. Suit us ok, we have great fun with them. Picked the 20" wheel version as easier to fold up and get into our small car when needed. Good friendly service from the seller Pete and his family. Worth the £700 each that we paid 18 months ago.

I have the large one and Joyce has the smaller model and find them great for the money.
Peter at AS is renowned for his brilliant after sales service.

I rode the wifes 36volt small wheel model up Cragg Vale (longest continuos ascent in Britain) mainly on pedal assist but 8.5k all up! The battery was only down 1 light when I returned. I caught and past 5 club cyclists one after the other on the way up which speaks volumes.

I am a big fan of AS Bikes but before you buy, have a look at the Prorider E Tourer 20 inch wheel jobby
Very similar but £300 less than the AS but does not fold

We have two of the full size AS folding bikes. Really pleased with them and we tried a lot of bikes before we bought them.

The after sales service has been excellent as well. :)

We have one each. Bought them just before our recent trip to Spain. Did miles and got us to places we would never have contemplated. Very pleased with them.

Us too. One of each although we haven't taken them away yet. The smaller one was bought second hand off a Fun member and AS answered one or two queries we had with no problem. Sorted a towbar and bike rack over the winter so somewhere with the bikes next time we're away.

We'll be looking at ebikes at Peterborough. Is there any issue with AS bikes not being compliant for use in France and Spain? Or any of the other makes on offer at shows?
