Well 10:00 has come an gone. Spoke to another chap from the queue and he reckons the barriers won't be lifted until 12:00 midday.

Good luck.
We came down that way in december, great drive and scenery with plenty of snow but the roads were clear and dry then.
You will have to finish the bacardi to keep you warm!

Hi Mike. Were you on the beach opposite the camp sites at Motril or further north and are there any coordinates?
We have just come from Nerja after doing the caves yesterday but it says 'no caravanas' where we are!
Many thanks.
Yes it's the beach opposite the camp sites but about half a mile further North
N 36 deg 43' 21.9"

We are at ocean bleu, mohammedia and its a beautiful day. Loads of French here at one end and Germans at the other. we feel like the bratwurst in the baguette. Not one Brit in sight. Heading to Moulay Boussalem tomorrow before Tanger Med. It's not a bad site here but you feel you are in the middle of a building project and that the developers are trying to squeeze the camp site out. Hope you are all safe wherever you are.

It's weather Jim, but not as we know it.

The world has gone mad, just watching racing in Qatar and it's raining.

Team Bus-Pus finally conquered the snow bound Haut Atlas. We finally left Ait Oulfella at 11:30 and started the ascent with a rag bag army of trucks vans and charrabangs. The road was clear but the snow at the sides got deeper as the climb got steeper.

Nutty Moroccans overtaking as the traffic was only one way up. We passed loads of dogs in the snow, one scavenging the remains of a dead donkey. Eventually we reached halfway at Timahdite. It was market day so quite busy. Went round another bend and the traffic stopped again.

We had reached the second set of snow barriers and they were closed. Waited another 1.5 hours with the usual knob heads pushing up the inside and outside of us to get to the front of the queue. We got going again and encountered drifts of 4ft at the side of the road, also broken down/crashed vehicles littered the descent towards Azrou, even a breakdown truck broken down.

We went through the Cedar Forest and even the apes looked fed up. Eventually got to Meknes at 15:30 and stocked up with 'essentials' at Carrefour. Decided to boot it down the Autoroute to Rabat finally arriving at Kenitra at 18:00. Quel surprise - Suggy, Irish Billy and William & and his good lady wife are here and we were just in time for beer o clock. What an eventful and memorable day.

Pictures to follow - we are knackered.

Here is a vid of the journey over the Mid Atlas on 24th.. What started as a bright chilly morning, suddenly as we climbed the N13 heading to Azrou the weather changed, One poor chap lost his life on the mountain that day RIP, and countless were injured.
After being diverted in Timahdite after a hour and half stop, to Almis du Guigou along a white road. we then took the R707 to Ifrane only to be diverted a few times and then told the only way was to go was to El-Hajeb. the road from Ifrane to El hajeb was 23km it took over 2hrs and that was to fast for me..We saw countless vehicles on the side of the road even an Army truck that was 8 vehicles ahead slipped to the side,
The term squeaky bum time was an understatement in a 3.5t front wheel drive sledge.

Hi Marc & Sam

Jeeeeezzzz. As Daves just said our crossing was a walk in the park compared to yours and part of yours in the dark as well. Most of the casualties had been shifted by the time we went over. So glad we didn't follow you that day.

Well we are sat , sitting looking out to sea and listening to the waves ,
And reflecting on , where did the last 12 weeks go ....:frowny:

We have had a great time , met some wonderfull people of all nationalities some were even French ( 3 to be exact ) ,

We have had a great time with the Funsters both new members and old ! Thankyou for your company everyone :devil: G n R

The Moroccans have been welcoming and great fun and have taken us into their hearts and homes , :h:

Morocco has thrown all kinds of weather at us but the " mad dogs and Englishmen and Women that we are ," we survived to tell the tale and watch the video .:mask:

Those of you out there that have been following the Funsters , stories , parties and pictures , :party3:

We hope that you will take the plunge and visit Morocco in 2016 ,:coolest:
