How to insert an arrow in Elements 12 to point something out?

You can draw one with the line tool. That's probably the easiest method.

Or find a gif of one on the net and download it, open it in a new window, use magnetic lasso to select it without the background, copy it, paste it into your image as a new layer. You can then size it and move it as required.

I have Elements 11.. on the bottom left of the edit screen there is a Tool Options..click that and you get a menu of shapes.. also line with arrows at start or end .. or both ends

Could not find shapes in the tool menu only pencil lines. But found one in the graphics menu thanks.
