Since there is no need to display a VEL any more I removed my tax disc holder from the windshield, but now there is the adhesive residue left on the glass which is proving very difficult to remove. Any tips or suggestions as to products which will remove said sticky stuff?

Label removal spray is what I have but the above price can't be beaten.

Do you use it wet so you don't scratch the screen and more important which brick ?
Sorry Brian, I should have mentioned that. During the London Riots, a survey was done of windscreen damage by brick. The Accrington Glazed Brick came out top of the wall, (so to speak). (y)

Thanks for the advice everyone, the sticky stuff, label removal spray and stanley blade only just came ahead of the brick. Never thought of a stanley blade but my sausage fingers probably wouldn't help, plus I am the clumsiest person I know! Im in Spain for a while yet but will live with it until my return...thanks again

The Accrington Glazed Brick

Grand brick. When I were a lad I always wanted one.

A bit of wd40 on a bit of rag. Dab it, leave for a few seconds then rub the adhesive and it will come off easily and no risk of scratching glass.
Tip: remove any rings and wrist watch. Sapphie glass on my wrist watch scratched my screen when i was cleaning the inside.

Not long enough!
Another vote for Stick stuff remover, we have a bottle stored in the van, the only thing it wont remove is a bit of valcro stuck on one of the cabinets, a right royal pain but I've got to be careful, I don't want to damage the fake wood:rolleyes:

If you are in Spain go to one of the cheap Chinese shop for the nail varnish remover.

Living the dream.
I find fitting a new windscreen is the sure fire way of getting marks off the old one, surprised nobody thought of that, tch!
