As I didn't go today (sorry didn't read the OP of the photo of the day thread) thought I had better start a new thread. These are some photos of my day at Stowe Park. The gardens are enormous. I was on my scooter and had to take Phoebe back part way round as she was too tired. Its absolutely stunning. I shall go back another time of year, and also hope to see the house which is closed at present. But it would have been too much for me in one day anyway

Some lovely pictures Dippy, very atmospheric. I really love the one with the lion looking straight to camera, you got that one just right.
We're planning on going to Oxford some time next year, never been, but your pictures on Photo of the Day made me more determined, & these will probably make us visit Stowe while we're in the area, so thank you!

Both Stowe and Oxford are well worth visiting but allow plenty of time. There is so much to see in Oxford I only scratched the surface, and Stowe Gardens are huge, plus I presume there is a fair bit to see in the house when it is open.
