To deter cats there's a spray you can buy called (I kid you not) 'WEE AWAY' and it seems to work

With the dogs acting as lookout we are usually ok although I wouldn't discount one of these

D'you know, haven't done any meets yet. Must start piling the pressure on Him Indoors.

Neither have we although we're signed up for one or two next year, hopefully see you around, complete with water pistol

Took these just a few minutes ago, sunset one side, moonrise the other. After 6 days of rain, it was so nice to see clear sky today.

Not anywhere near the same league as Allan's pictures I know, but a whiff of what's available in Cornwall at the end of November this year:

This isn't me with a lean on, it's the curvature of the horizon... honest... thought it was a nice pic anyway, 3.00 this p.m., north coast facing west

then facing east - apologies for the shadow, but I wanted to show you this wilder - what a lovely place to stop over, they'll catch both sunrise over St Agnes Beacon in the distance (with the sea mist just creeping in), & sunset beyond St Ives as in the first picture

Lovely pics - take it they weren't surfers then?
When we were at Gwithian a few years ago lots of surfers stayed over in the car parks and were in the water at all times of day and night

No I don't think these guys surf, though they're camped up here lots of the time - may even be full-timers. But I also took these 2 snaps yesterday. The tide wasn't really right for surfing.

Roman road at Ostia Antica - the original port of Rome (before it unfortunately silted up) No more than a dozen other visitors there today . Twenty minutes from Rome by train and SOOOOOO worth it. Don't even consider spending less than the full day here. Entry 8 Euro which includes the museum and the cafe halfway through the site is not a rip off, so no need to pack sarnies!!
