We have heard back from Briarfield.
Unfortunately the campsite is full for New Year so we are unable to join you all. They did promise if anybody drops out (which often happens) they would contact us with a space.

No it is a beach at Falesia in Portugal although we do have some lovely beaches here in Pembrokeshire. I love olives especially the ones that have almonds in.

Stopped at Briarfields overnight on Monday. Efficient and friendly, as always. I asked about a late booking for New Year, as we are on the 'interested but can't confirm' list. I was also told that they are pretty much full.

We know that we will be in West Somerset for Christmas, but whether we will still be down that way the week after we probably won't know until the last minute, but if we are and if Briarfields get some late cancellations, we may yet see you for New Year.

There must have been a lot of rain over the weekend - the grass was very wet & squishy. A driving wheel on the grass would have been instant standstill, I suspect - not that there is any reason to go on the grass there. But just walking on the grass to plug in the EHU cable you could feel & see the water welling up around your feet. So be careful if Christmas week is wet - you could soon make a mess!

Spoke with the site recently as was worried that others here seem to have paid a deposit which we haven't so concerned we may have missed our slot. Was advised to make some sort of payment, subsequently received an e-mail with wrong dates that we had initially booked (we are not there for the 4 nights). Spoke with Scott who sorted it over the phone. Posted purely to raise the issue in case others have also booked varying dates

Yes, I got a response pretty well straight away after I paid our deposit. After the previous post, looked it up just to make sure that the dates were right....

I am sure it will be ok. It might be that they wrote your email down incorrectly

Spoke to Jo today confirmed all is ok they are sending another e mail Haven't received it as yet not worried as dates etc are fine.

Yes David ....we shall arrive on the Monday and will no doubt find our way there at some stage. We have copies of the menu so can deliver requests to Harvester if you wish or better still join us.
