We are ex bikers and had to stop every few miles as it looked like ethnic cleansing on our visors And when we stopped for the night couldn't sit out for fear of being eaten alive.

Midges come out in mid May give or take a few weeks. I live on the edge of the Galloway Forest (Britain's largest) & I know only too well their ability to ruin a summers evening.
