I can report back that Holme Valley Camping is a good site - in lovely surroundings, and it is C&CC listed. They have 2 rally fields, but don't use them much in the winter/spring since they get wet. They have rallies there for various groups. They offered us up to 24 pitches on the main site with EHU in February priced at £12.50 per night for the first night and £10 per night after that, which I thought was a good deal.

However since the Marina is the chosen site, we could keep this for a possible meet later in the year, although it will obviously cost more. The Marina site looks great and I'm sorry I can't come as I am going to Portugal on 14th April, and the ferry is booked.

The solo travellers meet is scheduled for the weekend commencing Friday the 10th April (weekend after Easter). As this is a commercial site people are free to book as many nights as they choose. I personally intend to arrive on either the Thursday or the Friday and will be leaving on the Monday.

Current price for a day, which carries a max of 8 people is £90. This is the full day rate i.e. 9am to 4pm. The rate for 2015 hasn't yet been published.
It is possible to hire a boat for half a day but this can't be pre-booked.
