nowhere near long enough
Glasson Dock is fine for an odd night Graham, we have not used the THS there but know the area reasonably well.

HAH!! Well, IF your staying at Glasson, I will pop along and take tea with you, as the very place lies but a stonesthrow from my own baronial hall......., Tootles Towers. :):)(y)(y)

THS is a temporary holiday site arranged by the camping and caravan club. Lots of them all over the country and good value

Thanks! I did know they existed from reading the magazines but wasn't familiar with the acronym!

I have wild camped with a friend on the car park above the Stork Hotel just outside Glasson Dock. Nice and secluded, Tarmac and public loos. Is popular with walkers though as there is a footpath along the estuary to Lancaster. There was no height barrier when I was there last.

Thanks again for the replies. When we looked at the sat nav it would take longer to get to Glasson than home so not really suitable as a stopover on this trip :)

Correction. Wise coward
And I something really special planned for your visit, as well. I am now considerably out of pocket, due to your rash decision, but HEY, true friendship swallows disappointments.
Hope you have a great trip G. (y)

Oh 'eck, you didn't spend as much as 50p did you? :Eeek:

We did have a great trip, Dave, thanks. Arrived home just after 3pm fairly knackered after a 6 hour trip so it will be a quiet night and then a week of catching up.
