Can we be asked to take a breathtest, by the Police, after drinking(more than you should) and then, sleeping in a Motorhome in a lay-by, or a bit of rough ground at the side of a road ?

U can be asked any time. If the keys are not in the ignition or on your person your ok but if your so pissed they can do u for being in charge of a motor vehicle. Just be sensibleCan we be asked to take a breathtest, by the Police, after drinking(more than you should) and then, sleeping in a Motorhome in a lay-by, or a bit of rough ground at the side of a road ?

I don't see an offence unless you move the vehicle. If asked to move after a drink then the best option is to refuse and get done for a lesser charge.

The morning after is a problem.
One of my Cousins got done driving on New Years day about noon having not drunk anything since the night before.
For normal strength beer I always work on about 2 hours per pint consumed before I drive.
I don't know how reliable that is though to be honest and I know it differs in different people, your size , what you have eaten etc.

The morning after a late drink can be a problem, I religiously blow into an Broken Link Removed and only once has it stopped me pulling off a site in the early morning, though Siân has been the cause of a late breakfast waiting for a green light more than once On rallies I notice that most don't don't drink much or at all the night before driving and those that do hang around till lunchtime the following day.
I have cared them for some time now they are cheep I have used the a few times and never blown over in the morning. Thanks Jim - just ordered an alcosense.
Should take some of my guess work out of the equation
