Handle bar stem does adjust (on the smaller wheel model, don't know about the other). We looked closely at these at Marlven, a going by the number of people with them seemed the most popular bike by a mile. We are looking to pick up a pair of these at the NEC.

We have had two AS bikes for about 5 years and never managed a red light yet,it all depends how you use them we pedal ours quite a lot(keeps you fit) and when we come to a hill we turn the throttle for a bit of assistants as well as pedal ,but if you use the throttle all the time you red lights will come on ,as far as charging the battery's I have an inverter on the MH and plug battery charger into ,while we are traveling so battery's are charged and ready to go when we reach our destination.

Thanks to all who replied ref batteries our AS bike goes like the clappers might have to invest in another one for myself as she keeps having to wait for me to catch up !!!
