:helpk I have a 12v TV which cable is the live + on the lead as the sticker has come off and it has been removed Frome the cigarette lighter thingymabob one has a whit line the other dose not is it the one with the whit line

White line normally indicates the positive cable.

im sure you have a volt/multimeter Bill.
stick one probe on the centre hole in the plug and the other to one of the wires.

as above....white trace usually indicates live........but do check, cheaper than a new 12v appliance
