Well ..... I took Max to the technician/engineer supposed to tell me all was OK, and .....NOPE:cry::cry: .... So here is the next episode and why I'm calling for help.

I went this morning to Albi (not too far but not really next door either. It was pouring down, and yet I was rather confident...yeah right!)

I have no leaflet about fridge/truma boiler/ truma heater /and cooker!
So mister Engineer can't say there is no danger using 30Mb gas system with all these things in without knowing whether 30 Mb won't be a danger. ANd so of course can't give his full agreement.

So NOW I have to find all the leaflets of:

Cooker: Cramer 625 (CE product ID:84cCR01unless it is O1 as I can't know if the man who wrote this meant a O as in orange or a 0 as in 007)

Heater: Truma SL 3002 (CE product ID : 81.03e (or c?) 028 (or O28?)

Fridge: Electrolux (no special number) CE product ID :84.01c 010 (or O10; or even O1O?)

Water Boiler: Truma (no special number) CE product ID : 680e (or c?) 045 (or O45)

I need to have it written on them all that they can be used with 30Mb Gas pression.

Please if you have one of these leaflet , or know how to get them or even only one of them , please please let me know! I feel really down today and fed up. I hope first I can have all the proper leaflets .... in French, and hopefully saying the right words for me to get the bloody paper!

I have as well tohave the door cut out to fix an external vent a I need to be able to be gassed when crossing robbers'path!!!!! and as an option have some fresh air in the habitation.

Then if ALL of this is correctly done then I will get a paper to be able to get another paper which will give me the key to the vehicle card and plates and proper insurance!

It might take a year if I have to change all, but I have made my mind up / I WILL NOT LET MAX DOWN ! Money matters can take sometime but they can be sorted with patience.... I guess!

by the time you have mad max all sorted the law will have changed to make it all unnecessary. What is good in one EU country will be good in another very shortly, its coming but not sure when. The fridge will have a model number on a plate inside of the fridge on the back wall. If not then a photo will allow people to recognise it.

Hi - sounds like a nightmare but it will be worth it in the end!
Truma SL 3002 - see Link Removed - you might be able to find the boiler details somewhere there too. Couldn't find any Cramer cooker details on the web but Southdowns show as a stockist so maybe contact them for help? See
http://www.southdownsmotorcaravans.co.uk/aftersales/cramer_motorhome_oven_servicing.php
Found these Electrolux fridge instructions but probably not the right one - Broken Link Removed
Hope something of the above might help.

Those are maximum pressures using something at a lower gas pressure is no problem, its using it at a higher pressure that is dangerous, should be fine. And if the engineer does not think so then its time he got a new bloody job.

Just found out that the heater is only on 50 Mb on the online French leaflet and it's also written on it....So that's one to change....

Didn't find the fridge yet but inside it says 50 Mb ...:Sad: Oh dear ... not really good signs:Sad:

Could it be 50Mb maximum pressure which would mean it is safe to use at 30Mb? Or odes it say operating pressure 50Mb? If that's the case could it not be that you need a different regulator fitted. No expert on gas systems but these are thoughts that popped into my head straight away. I'm sure one of the gas Guru's will be along shortly to help.

good luck. :thumb:

Best is to send me PM with either e-mail address and/or Skype details, as Inbox gets full too easily and TBH talking would be easier then typing it all . First of all if your motorhome is a new one or at least after 2006 , you should not have any prob . ... well I said SHOULD .... but you never know ....!

I will probably call TRUMA France but they put "warnings" on all the notices like : all the equipment must have the same pressure !

I did ask to the man what was the problem as 30Mb is less pressure and this is his answer. "When the pressure is lower then , some gas can stay in some places of the tubes(not pushed enough as too low to its way out) and so next time when you switch on , the gas coming in as you push the button allows more gas in the same place and ...boooomm!.
I am not a specialist , and my parents have been using their caravan for years after having changed from 50 to 30 and never had problems , but what can I do!? He is the one who has the power... and he tried to help, as he said , if you really can't come back then I will be less strict , you can send me the results by e-mails with pics and invoices to show me what has been done. I will give you the paper without seeing the van again.

....... I guess it had to be difficult.....

All done by a specialist : new regulator with correct fitting (checked by the engineer who said "perfect"!) Only the equipment is targeted....

I have sent you a pm

THANK YOU PAM !!!!!!!!!

MAX is on his way to get his papers!!!

Had the man on the phone. He explained it all. Said I needed NOT to go to Toulouse DREAL (ex DRIRE) And that he would do it all for me including checking all the calculations of weight repartition.

So either I get a day off on Friday (I would be very very surprised) or I will go next Saturday (1st day of hols hopefully if he is not on hols himself, as he said I could come on a Saturday) and will leave Max for a week . He said all will be ready when I come back and with DREAL agrement! So all boosted up again !

Don't know how to thank you really ! You have to come over so I can stuff you with some good meal of mine::bigsmile:::bigsmile: and a good throat rince with some good grape juice!!!!!

Frankie:yeah::loveyou::thanks2::coolthumb::thumb::thumb::thumb:

And also thank you to all that tried to help and sent me links . It was very informative and at least, will now know where to look if needed
