A Woosh bang
All kinds of animals use herding as a defensive tactic.. birds fly in flocks, fish in shoals, insects in swarms.. cows and sheep in herds

My chickens wander around the garden in a little gang.. one or more are always on the lookout for an aerial predator.. they run for shelter when they hear or see a Gull

And so do many humans…. You go on an almost empty site or aire.. pick a nice quiet corner and sooner or later a tosser parks up not 6 mts away..

Same on the beach.. you find a nice spot and 15 mins later you have a family with four kids playing footie and using you as a goal post.

I call them clumpers..

Why is this .. and if you don’t do this.. who does.. which forums are they on because I want to know why they do this..

hands up you clumpers..

Perhaps it is a way they demonstrate being friendly and not stand offish. Personally I am really rude and park as far away from the next one as I can ::bigsmile:

Even German tourists of pensionable age? :winky:

We tend to like our own "space" as well but it takes all sorts.....

Not clumpers here !

We often observe and query this behaviour on beaches and we know it happens on supermarket car parks, here and abroad.
