Hi all, moaning Minnie here again :) I have a 1995 Swift Royale 540 2.5tdi. I pulled the outside drawer open today and it fell off the runners, little ball bearings everywhere, and now cannot get it back in to close. Can it be repaired, and if so where would I get new runners from? Everything I touch....breaks, I daren't go for a wee :))))))

Caravan or MoHo dealers? or Mobile ditto engineer - I know CLS who is a Trade Member on here is Swift accredited, why don't you give him a ring and see if he comes out your way? or if he can suggest anyone otherwise?

many many years! since I was a kid
sounds like you have an after market accessory called a beanie box. not even sure they are still going.

try unscrewing the runners and photographing. its bound to be a relatively standard fitting and traceable

do any of these look the same?

You could give them a call but make it soon, I do not know if the postal system will continue to Scotland later in the year.

I think you will find it is a factory fitted box. I had a 1998 Swift Royale 590 ensigne with the same box you have on yours.

The only thing i would try is a swift motorhome dealer, or try O`learys motorhomes he stocks some spares for the older swift models. hope you are sucessful in tracking down spares.

Tracks

Thanks for the replies and links. The runners are riveted on, are they easy to take off and when I get new runners should I rivet them back on or screw/bolt them on?

personally i would drill the rivets out and then use stainless nuts and bolts for the new runners.

Yes, my bad - except stupidly I did think, I'm sure you don't spell Brecon like that? :ROFLMAO:

But was why I mentioned Mark (CLS) because he should be able to identify whether it was Swift factory fitted. That was my thinking anyway!

Greetings,

Further to the previous comments, as far as I know, Beenybox have moved from Trevu Road.

Try the below website and/or, failing that give Barry Walton a ring on 01209 822272. You will have difficulty getting him to pick up the 'phone but you can leave a message and he will get back to you.

Taking photo's and being able to send them on the Internet saves a lot of explaining.
