I am looking to fit an external USB point similar to those available for TV and Satellite connectors, any about?

What about this one then: Broken Link Removed

Ian

They look really really good :thumb: but no electronics in the back to provide power from 12v.

I am presuming the OP wants this in his van for charging stuff?

What I want is an external connector to run my wifi antenna cable into the motorhome, sorry if there is any confusion.

I used one of these to bring the wifi cable from the antenna in. You leave the USB plug on and a waterproof gland fits around the cable.

You want an IP54 rated connector or better. Can't see anything at the moment.

I fitted one of this inside my van. I have since found cheaper ones but the advantage of this model is it is designed for boats and comes with a cover which I would describe as at least splash resistant but I am not sure if it is fully waterproof. Which is of course the problem you are going to have if you mount it externally. However, fit it with a separate inline fuse and it shouldn't do any harm if it goes phut.

Other suppliers are available, I can't remember who I bought mine off but this will give you an idea what to look for.

The advert shows two types, it is the one with the threaded bit and two spade connections you want for mounting in a panel, not the fag lighter version.

ah gotcha. Not seen one of those but will look round.

This is the only thing I can see immediately.

That looks as though it has a nut behind the cap so might be a through panel fitting - ideal if so. An alternative is to buy an outlet box intended for a mains socket or a gas outlet (the mains ones at least are available without a fitted socket) and use the waterproof extension mentioned earlier in this thread coiled inside it.

We can do waterproof IP67 Ethernet (CAT5) adapters - but the USB ones are pretty expensive so we don't carry them.
