Faulty TV Remote. (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

My TV remote OK/Enter button does not work, although all the other buttons are fine. The system is a DVB, fitted by Auto-Trail (2010).

If I bought a universal remote would it work with this system? The receiver is 12V and the remote is 3V.

Anyone got any ideas? A new remote from Auto-Trail is £45!!!!

Can you get in to the unit? It maybe that there is dirt on the switch membrane especially as the 'Enter/OK' button is probably the most used one.

What's the make do the telly? Autotrail sure as beans don't make their own.

Worst case ... Buy an 'all in one' remote

AS above, see if you can prise it open..
Lift the rubber keypad and you can get a can of switch cleaner from Maplins... spay and clean the circuit board, fixed hundreds of satellite tv remotes like that....

Then again could be totally Kna&*^%.....
