Hi

Just after some quick advice! How to do alter the battery selection switch on the EBL99?

Does it just slide across?

Thanks

Thanks mine seems a little awkward to move possibly as it's hard to get to as it's jammed under the passenger seat. It's gone so far across I'm just worried it not fully moved off the gel setting, although it's more on the lead acid side!!!

Here is a diagram of the front panel. A small flat-bladed screwdriver is the best tool to move the switch. Can you get a clear view and access to the panel? If all else fails, you may have to lift out the seat.

Thanks
I have used a screwdriver to reach in.

Can I ask Those that have them should the switch be fully to the lead acid side ? Mine only seems to move so far I didn't want to force it.

Thanks

I have not got time to go and check at the moment but will try to do so over the next day. Did you sense a click as the slide switch moved? If so, I would say it's in the new position.

p.s. don't forget to switch off the EBL at the main switch and disconnect from mains input before trying to change the battery selector switch.

Mine did not seem to want to move very far. I switched it back and forth a few times, just to be sure. Checking the battery condition panel should soon show you if it is working as it should.

Here is a rather poor picture taken with my phone via an inspection lamp and mirror on a stalk. (Bit of a squeeze to get a clear view under the driver's seat.) Hopefully you will still be able to see the red switch 'finger'. The image is reversed owing to the mirror but is the right way up - the switch is set to Blei-Saüre (lead-acid). The image is not of good quality as I have had to do a lot of contrast adjustment and enlargement on Photoshop to make it usable. Hope this helps.
