It doesn't matter what rugs or mats we have tried , they all move and end up a mess. Anyone have the solution, without nailing them down........:thumb:

It depends what your floor covering is.

If it's Carpet you can use these:

If it's Cushion Floor you can use this:

The prices are probably in $'s because ebay UK is playing up again today as per usual......

A few years now
Turtle Mats are a bit expensive but good, stay in place & machine washable.

In every MH we have had, the first thing we do is take out all the mats apart from a rubbery thing that goes in the shower/toilet.. and that is for a few reasons.

A bare floor can be kept clean as a clean thing very easily

Spill something.. no worries

I am one of those folk who HATE taking shoes on and off all the time ( especially as I am also one of those folk who cannot sit still for 5 minutes and tend to be in and out of the van like a yo-yo ! )

When we do eventually come to sell, the carpets will go back in and still be like new

Folk who visit do not have to worry about dirty shoes

The wet room one is needed as the floor is a plastic tray and need protecting.. AND it is nice to stand on something when you get up in the middle of the night to answer natures call :winky:

the cause of 'walking' rugs.

the carpet pile will lay slightly one way be design and anything (rug) laid on it will 'walk' the same direction as the pile as its walked on....a little like the way a centipede walks.
move a little as the pile is flattened then grab the pile as the weight comes back off as the rug cant move back then repeat for each footstep.

the cure.......double sided carpet tape/velcro....but it needs to be strong.

a rug in our lounge can 'walk' a few feet over a week or so.

In Boots, wilkinsons homebase they have those JML stands. Saw rug corners the other day £9.99 for 8. (From memory). Think they stick to the rug corners and stop movement on both hard floors and carpet.

Also poundshop non slip roll stuff works well.

JML things are not much good on carpet. Not sure about hard floors. We bought some a couple of weeks ago and the rugs still go walkabout.
