I have a couple of sets, but are a bit crappy and won't jump the Transit when some numpty leaves fridge on

Last time I had to hook both sets up after about 15 mins hooked up to my car.

So, I'd like a decent set and recommendations.

I don't understand leccy so what amp rating would I need for 2.3l Transit diesel?

Cheers

much more now
Truthfully what Bill is suggesting would be the best.....they can take up to 180+ amps.....and a starter can draw something near that at times...

Get some and we can test them by wiring up Dawn to them....if she burns (doubtful) they will be good....:thumb::thumb:

BTW this is Larby borrowing Derek's laptop....honest injun

many many years! since I was a kid
i used to have a set of hand made 6m long cables....lent them to somebody and they never came back. you can tell quality cables usually by the weight as thick copper cables are heavy

go with 25mm2 cables or thicker and you wont get a voltage drop and will allow full current to flow into flat battery

think i will make myself a set up for the van. mind you, these look ok

Not understanding leccy trickery, I'd still like to know what amp rating I need and why.

Cheers
