I woke up this morning with a mad, crazy plan floating around in my head...

It would involve me driving down to the Algarve, flying to Manchester, watching the Wednesday night footy, renting a camper for 2/3 days, going to Camarthan to say "Hi" and then returning to Manchester for Sunday afternoon footy... The last match of the season...and then flying back to Faro on the Monday...

Need several things to all fall into place at the same time and, of course, I would need the Bath comedy walk to have a good start to the season :winky:

I will work the idea around a little.

JJ

PS. Anyone from Manchester want to rent me a camper

Is there ehu? What facilities on site as never been before

No ehu, unless you have a generator. Basic facilities, water Elysian dump etc.
Show might be described as bijou. Small but beautifully marked.

Just down the road from the site (say two par fives if your a golfer) is the park and ride bus stop. Token charge to town, free if you have a welsh bus pass.

Drops you off outside a hotel/pub/restaurant excellent food and a belly buster carvery for a Saturday lunch.

Carmarthen is a nice shopping town, compact. And fairly flat. Indoor market. More places to eat and drink than you can do in a weekend.

People running the show are very friendly, last year even met the new arrivals with bunches of daffodils.

Looking at the list of funsters going, you will NOT regret it.

Enjoy

Peter

Okay...

I have just booked myself into a Camarthen hotel for the Thursday and Friday night so I plan to hang out with you guys on the Friday and some of the Saturday.

The car rental (6 day) and hotels came to less than the rental of a motorhome for 4/5 days...

The last time I attended the Camarthen show a couple of years ago, I rented.a car on the Saturday to drive to Wembley for the FA Cup Final... when I got back there was a welcome back party waiting for me. We won the Cup.

Is returning to Camarthen a sign?

Look forward to seeing some of you lot again.

Please learn the words to "Blue Moon" for the "sing a long" on Friday night.
