All of my alerts on my e-mails are going direct to my junk box, even though I have told Outlook that it isn't junk.

I recall this happening a while ago and it was sorted.
Any chance of sorting it again please Jim. :thumb:

I don't know why this is happening. Add motorhomefun to outlooks white list and the mail should get through:thumb:

many many years! since I was a kid
navigate to your junk folder and right click on an effected email
click on Junk, the junk mail options
click on safe senders tab then click add on that page
type in the address and click ok
repeat for other adresses

just clicking the add to safe senders button doesnt always seem to work

It seems to be sorted now.

I re-entered the "support" address and it started to work again.
I will do the "admin" address as well.

I didn't just click the safe senders button, I went into the safe senders list and added the addresses again, but it seems to not be working again.
It is almost as though it is junking individual senders on the Fun site, even though I know it can't do that.

very odd but not abnormal for outlook to behave in it own weird way. normally by actually editing the safe senders list it works

have you tried adding the addresses then closing outlook and restarting? this makes the program update the pst file where all preferences are stored

with service providers like AOL they tend to have their own spam and junkmail blacklists, so a message may already be marked before reaching an email client. As I recall there was a batch of spam sent out a while back spoofing the motorhomefun email server and addresses. because of this its not uncommon for such servers to be automatically added to black lists

Just done this and straight away got 3 e-mail alerts.
Let's hope that's sorted it. :thumb:

Well, it didn't sort it and motorhomefun e-mails were going in the junk box, but I think I have cracked it.

I went into "Manage rules" and created a new rule which says that all e-mails from support@motorhomefun.co.uk had to be directed to my inbox.

That seems to have done the trick. :thumb:

Motorhomefun is in my safe senders list and it is still happening.

On the list are admin@motorhomefun.co.uk and support@motorhomefun.co.uk

The same thing is happening again to us, can't understand why it's been working fine for the past couple of years then suddenly all updates to into "junk".
It rectified itself a few weeks back, but has now started again.

Forums are massive senders of email, thousands of mails every day, registration, subs reminders, thread subscriptions, PM notifications etc. This email gets inspected by your ISP, BT, Yahoo, google etc on its journey to you.

If the ISP anti spam measures see anything suspicious, ie it thinks we are spamming then it will mark our mail as possible spam and it will be treated as such. Ie it might not reach you at all, or go straight in your junk folder. And they are very quick to do this.

When we send out a newsletter, we carefully have it scanned for words or phrases that the ISP might think of as Spam. When the forum sends mail, we have no control over the content. For example the thread 'What I bought this week " has over 300 subscribers, so every time someone posts on that thread we instantly send 300 emails letting people know a post has Ben made. it's easy to see why it might be taken for spam and often is.

Normally getting us in your white list ensures you get your emails from us.

I had to check junk too, but if an e-mail goes to junk it doesn't send an alert to my Blackberry, which is how I know if I have any mail, not just from MHF.
Very annoying and frustrating.

I like the Blackberry, so binning it is not an option at the moment.
It fits nicely in my pocket, isn't prone to damaged screens, the qwerty keyboard is a real one, not touch screen and I don't do apps, games, photos and all the other stuff that modern phones do.

The problem lies with Outlook because they provide the service, the Blackberry only receives it for me, which I think it does very well. ::bigsmile:
