And it's not me!!
These are at the side of the bed frame. I'm hoping their something to do with helping lift bed up for storage access!

Don't know, but is there something above them when you lift up the bed to get to storage ........ i.e something to keep the bed up whilst you put stuff in the storage?

It looks like the attachment for a gas strut. It also appears to have had difficulty staying where it was put judging by the number of screw holes which might explain why it isn't doing anything now.

See if you can find any other screwholes where a gas strut might have been installed althought the top one looks like a DIY job
