much more now
I keep thinking this is a daft question but...

When we sleep in the MH the light that bypasses the blind in the mornings is huge. There is some felt at the bottom of the window which I feel should help blank it out but it isn't helping.

Do others suffer this problem? and what do you do about it?

many many years! since I was a kid
if you have the older version pull down cassette type roller blind then this has always been a problem. we found that pulling down both the net flyscreen and the blind cut out the most light but certainly not all

You can use some of that pipe lagging you buy in b and q.
Cut a slit in them and thread them over the bottom of the blind.
It can be left on I believe.
It used to be a real pain when we had blinds like that.
We have the pull up ones now.
Much better.

We did away with our blinds as soon as we got the van, largely because most of them were fubar and obsolete.
We replaced them with some made to measure black-out curtains which seem to do the trick and were considerably less expensive than replacing all the blinds would have been had they still been available.

Upon reflection, the above is probably not particularly helpful but it seemed relevant at the time....

This does work on the roller type blinds, we used it when we had our caravan.

Normally, I would try to help, but you've not been overly nice to me lately.

Eye shades from Poundland or the 99p Shop will do the trick - no problem. Ours came with ear-pugs too, which can be handy on occasion. :thumb:

To help with the winterisation in our van I used thin foil insulation to make secondary covers for our windows. This actually sorted out the problem we had with light ingress.:thumb:
