Does anyone know where I can buy a damp meter by Monday?

Wasn't anticipating I'd use one as lots online. Today I've been to Wickes (none) ScrewFix ( none) Homebase ( none) and B&Q ( 1 @ £42) only want to spend maximum £20 as don't anticipate using it more tan once-- and that has to be on Monday.

Thanks anyone who can help.

sorry, but if the need by monday is so urgent then £42 from B&Q sounds reasonable to me.

Buy it, use it, then stick it on ebay or in fun classifieds.

Aw thank you. Sadly, I'm other end of country

Think it might well be back to B&Q tomorrow, as suggested.

Aldi had them for £12 don't know if there's any left though, and you might as feel if the walls are wet for what good they are:Doh::Doh:

And so are Machine Mart

could be the same predicament as us......

Nearest toolstation shop is York...80 miles round trip and £15 in diesel

Nearest machine mart shop is Hull....as above.

Kinda negates the cheaper price compared to B&Q.......less than a mile away.

True John - and it's nice to know there is actually somewhere worse than Tees-side when it comes to retail outlets ::bigsmile:

I bought the £42 item from B&Q earlier this week to check the ceiling myself before its annual Hab check. If I didn't want it any more I'd stick it on eBay described as 'nearly new' for £30 with free P&P, then after eBay fees and £2.60 postage I'd have spent only about £20 on it.

I take it you have no experience of the meters? I bought 4 for a fiver each (reduced) and the two I tried worked every bit as good as my old £100 plus one giving the same readings- :thumb:Good kit for not a lot of money :thumb:would recommend them to anyone :thumb:and I don't recommend things lightly :winky:
