Decided it was time to replace the two leisure batteries so went to Halfords.
They kindly fitted them, but then it turned out that there's no lip at the bottom of the batteries and so the clamp that holds them in place has nothing to grip down on.
Let me try explain that better. Between the two batteries there's was a bit of metal with a screw in it. This had to be removed to get the batteries out of their space under the seat. This bit of metal grips a lip that is at the bottom of each battery and holds them down tight. All the batteries in Halfords had little lips at the base, apart from the leisure batteries. Go figure!
They said I could take them back tomorrow if I can't come up with a solution.
Any bright ideas from the geniuses on here?
