Since 2008 (started in a VW T4 campervan)
Strandcamping on Killard Road.
Many years ago, I played in my first ever Irish pub session in Madigan's bar in Doonbeg. Nothing like starting at the top!

We were staying in the campsite over the road - I hope it's improved a bit since those days - it was pretty dire. Very pleased we had our own facilities!

If you are buying Strand Camping, you must be fairly sure sea levels aren't going to rise too much!! Couldn't be much nearer the beach!

Welcome to Kizmax - not been to Lahinch for a while. Time for another visit.

I seem to have a fatal attraction to water, but on the plus side I am used to flooding, living on the Somerset levels.

You are right about the beach, on the day I went to look at the campsite with a view of buying it there was more seaweed at the entrance than grass, and the beach has a road between it and the campsite.

Strandcamping does require some investment to bring it up to the standard I would like, so I have busy year a head.
When you next go to Lahinch pop in or stay on route I can recommend the Guinness in the "Igoe Inn"
