Locking fuel cap for Mercedes (1 Viewer)

Does anyone know where I can get a locking fuel cap for a Merc Sprinter based MH. 2011

halfrauds or any larger accessory shop will either have them or can order in next day. cheaper at a commercial breakers yard

Sadly not, Halfords doesn't fit, and Mercedes don't have one as the Sprinter has a locking flap, and doesn't need one. The last owner had one, but lost it when fueling, so they do exist.

there are plenty of different caps available, and the universal ones come in various sizes. you need to measure the size of the pipe end and check in a shop or catalogue for something the same size. if you take the van with you the shop may allow you to try a few possible caps in the carpark

Thanks for the info. Sorry for the late reply but just back from an op in hospital. It appears that Mercedes have come up with one after all, so when I am fitter will take Betsy for a fitting!:thumb:

is it a locking flap?,or do you have to open the passenger door to open the flap?
