Who / what controls the ads we see on this site, I noticed yesterday a girl / young lady in short skirt with advert for some clothing catalogue, now I have stannah stair lifts

How do these get chosen?

Is it my wine consumption implying I might need help with the stairs??

Don't they know I am away in MH!

Mind you that rear bed is looking higher every day / night

i believe these are google generated ads which support the website.

Usually google ads are a follow on to something you post about....sort of interest linked.

Post about garden peat and you may get ads about garden peat..

this is an excellent blocker for unwanted ads....i use it on my laptop and it works for most ads.

download an adblocker it works, you still get the " site sponsored adds" like alugas etc but no others:thumb:

It's to do with "cookies", but got the "ad blocker" working on it now

adblocker plus is the way forward, it blocks most adverts and popup windows. however an updated HOSTS file with a blacklist of adservers to block really speeds up page loads. both options are free

i realise that google adverts bring in some income to site owners but i really dont like being tracked and targeted with ads

I only see the sponsored ads and I have trackers blocked. In this session I have two trackers on this site that have been blocked, and since I put the ad blocker on it has blocked 35,525 trackers in total. On the highest day in August I blocked 1,000 trackers in one day

Apart from Adblock+ I've got a Firefox add on called self destructing cookies, you can see the things dying as fast as they arrive at the bottom of the screen. I've normally only 6 cookies saved when I check my privacy menu.
