AA Card discount on Italy/Greek ferry? (1 Viewer)

Hi,
I've had a quote from Viamare (thank you Orange22 and Electraglide!). It seems that if you have AA membership Minoan Lines offer an additional 25% discount. This reduces the return ferry cost by over £50.
Basic AA membership is £32.
It is really that simple? Has anyone had experience or used this discount facility please?

Yes, that's what I thought! I actually phoned the AA (that's THE Automobile Association ) to enquire whether they could throw any light on it but was news to them to!
It does seem a little odd that you get (apparently!) discount on a Greek ferry for having British breakdown cover.
I think your conclusion is probably right!
Maybe I shouldn't ask too many questions
