I put the MH in for a service 10 days ago. It is a Fiat 2.8 jtd 2005. They rang up and said the fuel pipe from the pump to the filter was brittle and had broken during the service.
The problem is the garage cannot locate a replacement pipe. They have made a temporary repair that they say is holding but no guarantee. I would like a new pipe as we are travelling to Spain on the 27th December.
They say the pipe is on back order but cannot get a date for delivery.
They say the part number is 1345993080.
If anyone can help locating one I would be very grateful.
Many thanks
Graham

That is definitely the number they gave me. They did then say that the number could be different on some websites but I don't see how as surely that is a specific part number.

The part number seems to be correct. I found an italian website where I had to input the vin. number and I tracked the hose down in their diagrams and it was listed under that number.

The saga continues. Hose delivered to the garage from main dealers. Wrong size fittings. It now transpires that the filter assembly was changed during the manufacturing run. None available in this country. Part now ordered from Italy and should be here Saturday. Be warned if you have this year fiat do not break the fuel hose during servicing.

Now had four fuel hoses delivered to the garage and they are all wrong. They have now got the correct shape and correct bore but one of the connections is wrong. You wonder just, how many different hoses they made for this particular model. Fiat are now sending photos of the pipe to Italy .
Hope they get it right as we are booked on the tunnel on the 27th.

Take the pipe to your local Pirtek or hydraulic hose specialist.
The chances are they can make something to pattern.:thumb:

Thanks for the suggestion. I have used Pirtek in the past for commercial use etc. The trouble with the fuel pipe is that it has moulded rapid release connections. Why can we not go back to good old pipes held in place by jubilee clips ?
