Problem: one filthy motorhome having been away for over a week in pouring rain and a fair amount of Flandrian mud. I hate cleaning it, especially in the winter.

Potential solution: take it to the local Polish handwash, who do a superb job on my car, and ask them for a quote.

Potential problem with potential solution: they use pressure washers, which I've always been wary of with a fibre-glass bodied motorhome. But I'm guessing that dealers use that piece of kit?

Any advice welcomed, especially from dealers [I'm looking at you, St John's Cross]...

It is a matter of taking it to someone who knows how to use the equipment. A mobile valeting company would be fine, and will know not to use the lance to close to openings/seals etc and not to spray into vents.

Many inexperienced will use the pressure washer very close, and this is where issues start. Sweep properly from a distance and you will remove the dirt without compromising the sealing of the van.

Many of the budget car washers use highly caustic traffic film remover. This gets into seems and sits there eating away. I would want to know exactly what was being used on my van before I let it near my van.
