Anyone tried the above sat nav on Android or iphone?

Just watched a video on the follow me function, amazing if it works as shown.

No but I did buy the full Copilot Live Android version. Very professional.

It does have a MH setting.

They are silly though, the freebie one is poor, lacking in features and I nearly did not buy it.

Got to admit this one looks dangerous, anything that encourages you to look at a screen too much is bad news.

Hi - thanks for the link, interesting.

I have been looking at lots of SN's recently and was attracted to the 'real view' type displays, but I have to say that I found them having too much information, great on the motorway where they show the virtual reality junction but in town found it confusing - I was referring to the overhead view continuously.

I have 'road tested' a couple now and I genuinely think that a more basic screen works well in town/city traffic, the follow me and virtual drive through types are very confusing and instead of glancing to see where you are/going it takes a little time to get your bearings, As Hilldweller eludes to, I found myself having to concentrate more on the satnav than the road itself :Eeek:.

I found with watching the one in the link I was getting mesmerised and confused - I found it 'too close to the action' - just my opinion though.

Hope it helps.

Regards,

Trikeman. :winky:

I too have the Co Pilot Live android app.. and It is very nice.. works very well too.
The only problem I have is that it doesnt zoom in at junctions so if you get to an intricate junction it can be quite hard to spot exactly where you are supposed to be going.. (This is on A and B class roads.. not motorways etc where the lane assist function works)

I have had Co-Pilot a number of years, its great.
Now have the latest co-pilot live (not the freeby) full UK and Western Europe, i have it on my phone and on my Nexus 7 tablet, on the tablet its much better than my car sat nav, super fast recalculation and clear mapping.
Never seen one zoom A & B road junctions just motorways etc.

Don't know how effective the RV setting is (yet) but the walking one works well, for example you can walk up one way streets the other way :thumb:

You can set the Zoom in the Map Display setting 2D Auto Zoom to Zoom to Next Turn, although I don't thinks it's as big a zoom as some other SN's.
