Before anybody jumps on me I'm not stirring up trouble .
I love using Aires etc in France etc with my current Autotrail and am seriously considering a change to a Fiver but am a bit concerned that to do so would prevent me using them in future.
Any opinions / factual information would be gratefully received

since 2007, 25 years tuggin before that.
I think you would struggle as a lot of Aires exclude trailers as do quite a few campsites. Also seen quite a few campsites in France banning twin axle caravans & cammions.
Also most aires have sub 8 metre length bays.

Look over on www.RVOC.co.uk the sister site to this one - there are 5'er owners on there and I know they do use aires and they are OK provided they are kept hooked up, not allowed to disconnect. That of course is if there is enough room. If you want to discuss suggest you PM chatter

early or late season on a large/ish quiet aire shouldnt be a problem, I have used in the past. In mid or main season no chance. If you do find a quiet aire big enough for you remember not to disconnect, park neatly and do not put any legs on the ground or have camping furniture out.
Dont know who you are insured with but mine says that my fiver combi is an american motorhome

I'll second that.
