Hi just wondering if anyone has stayed the night at the Anglers Arms in Kielder village as we are thinking of heading to the area next weekend, i will give them a call to see if we can stay overnight although i have been told its ok if you visit the pub.

If youve not been here can you recommend any other wild spots round Kielder

not stayed there but have used Waggoners Arms 3 miles north of Ponteland, same rules, eat in pay nothing for pitch. Nice level hard standing car park, really nice hosts, if en route to Kielder follow main road north past Otterburn then take forest road

Unless you have a 4x4 I would not advise the forest road from the A68. It has a very rough surface and is not really suitable for cars let alone motorhomes particularly in winter.
