Just had a look at the Met Office synoptic charts.

It looks like the low is already being predicted to weaken.
I think it will be very windy but not the doom and gloom predicted.
Normally when they predict days in advance its all tosh!

But don't hold me to that.....

Storms

Due to hit Cornwall Sunday eve, winds predicted at 36mph, we've known worse. Usually calms down a bit by the time it moves up the country. Doesn't appear a 'batten down the hatches' one.

At 9-30pm Saturday it was blowing so hard that if it had been in a different direction I would never have made it from the marina to the car park.

Fortunately it blew more towards it, real gale at Poole tonight.

Not too bad driving back to Wokingham although were the usual idiots on the M27 and M3 doing 90 in the rain

There's nothing the media love better than an impending disaster.

Bet they have been going on and on about this wretched storm.

I know very little about meteorological matters but I bet it's just a storm in a teacup and will it will soon blow over. ..

Have you forgotten the priority of the British media so soon? There's a slim chance that an umbrella might blow inside out in The City (not Man City ) so of course it has to be reported :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Fairly calm in Southampton, a slight breeze and quite pleasant. Is this the calm before the storm?
