We are staying long term on a camp-site and I wish to listen to the radio/cd player.
Only problem I have to switch on the ignition to run the radio, and I do not wish to run down the van battery.
Is it practical to run the radio from the auxiliary battery?

Thanks for any help

for the cost of rewirring your dash mounted radio / cd you could probably buy a cheapy that could be used in the habitation area run off the ehu as your on a site :thumb:

Our runs of habitation battery no problem
One a pair of wires from battery live and neutral to both live inputs on radio live wire fused with 10 amp fuse at battery end and 5 amp on each wire into radio
Works for us

The radios already earthed, just run a single live wire from leisure battery to radio and connect to both lives on radio, fuse it both ends.:thumb:

1 year on and loving it!
I've got a wind up/solar one and it works well! Not to sure how it's going to work on my travelsc through Europe, but I'm not too concerned!:winky:

ours has a switch on the dash
position 1 is ignition feed
position 2 is off
position 3 is leisure battery on

the permanent live is fed from the leisure battery the switched live is fed through the dash switch.
and it came from the converters wired like that.
