If they apply that markup across the board then a new Arapaho selling for around 75k cost them about 27k::bigsmile:

It's obviously a manufacturer "thing"....they rely on people needing the accessories in a hurry after buying their lovely new motorhome. There's always some mug who'll accept those prices...

...speaking of which, Danbury are just as bad. I bought a 10m EHU cable from them that I reckon cost almost as much as you'd expect to pay for a 25m one

(And don't even ask me how much I paid for a habitation check from them. Never again:cry: None of their vans even have a 3-way fridge  Maybe I'll change my username to 1_mug_and_his_dob(lo))

When i worked offshore as a lifeboat service engineer, a hammer was missing from the toolbox, I picked up up a hammer from our supplier around the corner for about £5, I then saw the invoice for it £60 ish, they even charged for delivery even though Shell had another company on contract, all we had to was drive a couple of miles.

Reading another thread on here I happened to pop on to Autotrail's online shop.. and found this.....
Broken Link Removed

A second battery harness... £37.80 !!!!!

It's only £13.74 off Sargent...
http://sargentshop.co.uk/epages/eshop328964.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/eshop328964/Products/WB1022

That really is a disgrace... !!!

I would pay the extra.

It's not just a battery harness, it's an Autotrail battery harness.

Must be worth the extra

In my dreams they should, in real life the times allowed are a joke and the labour rates.............................................

Peter

And that sums up the real problem folks.

Don't give your dealer a kicking, give the manufacturer a kicking first.
