Still trucking and learning
We are thinking of buying a small (125cc) scooter to put on back of van - does anyone have any recommendations? We will have quite a substantial payload to play with but would like a lightweight bike so that we can manhandle it easily enough. Thanks.

We have the Honda PCX 125 - wonderful machine and so easy to ride in the traffic with two up.

Since 2012 but longer in my dreams
Do you need to have a full bike licence To go two up on a 125 cc scooter abroad?

I think you need your bike test before you can go two up on a 125. Two up on a 50 CC is covered by your car licence unless you are young.

Don't forget that with a 125 even if it's just you , you have to do a CBT course before you can ride it and I believe you have to retake the CBT every 2 years.

The CBT is easy enough but you will find you will do it with a load of 16 year old moped monkeys.. That was my experience a few years back anyway.

Edit - you don't need a CBT if you have a full bike licence

For two-up riding you definately need to obtain the full motorbiking licence.
I did and can now proceed with my yamaha ybr125 on my motorbike rack.
