5 years, feel free to ask me about the Carado!!
Just checking the Elldis website for my 2013 (115) tyre pressures under technical information and it says:

543 PSI/79 Kpa rear

494 psi/72 Kpa front.
http://www.elddis.co.uk/elddis/autoquest/autoquest-115/technical-information#tabs

I am assuming they have mixed up the pressures and it should be 79 psi & 72 Psi ??? although the the van camper continentals 215/70 R15's state a maximum of 69 Psi inflation on the tyre wall.

So its either dangerous and/or misleading info !!! Anybody know what they pressures should be ???:Eeek:

Most vans are heavier at the rear so they would be correct. It may be that they are quoting for Michelins that have 80 psi max pressures. Yes it is bad information

They have indeed got the Kpa and psi the wrong way around
Should be 543 KPA = 79 PSI etc

We've since sold our Autoquest 180, but I had mine at 58 on the front and 60 on the rear tyres, with 80 on the rears being the maximum according to Elddis. But depends on the weight you're carrying and whether you want a softer ride etc.

There has been talk about tyres overheating and shredding when lower than recommended tyre pressures are used to give a comfier ride.
I have decided it is safer to keep the pressures at the recommended figures (5 bar front 5.5 bar back) and Sellotape my glasses to my face to stop them vibrating off.

Having now tried those figures I am (firmly) of the 5/5.5 bar school. much better handling at those pressures also, I think :thumb: thanks.
