My front tyres are showing a slight bit of wear...

Could I swop the front for one of the rears on the same side I remove the front from...

It`s a tag axle... or is it not advisable.. ?

I dont see why not. I very often swop tyes around. Yours being a front wheel drive, the front tyres will wear at a much faster rate than the rears. Swoping them round should even the wear.

keep your eyes on the back tyres though some tag axles scuff tyres a bit fast .

i find on mine it seems to be both .
i swap them around between themselves . or flip the tyre round on the rim .
its one of my pet hates with mine . mind it could also be jackknife turning on narrow roads as well . how the tyre stay on sometimes beggers belief .

Used to watch the back ones on the 5th wheel...

The front`s kept going round when turning tight and the rears used to just get dragged side ways...

Damn thought you were askng for tyre swop. I was going to offer one for any old URN you might swop. Seriously ensure your tyres do not have direction of rotation fitted if so you can onlyput them on the same side look on the tyres for an arrow showing rotation direction.

That`s what I was going to do, swop the front drivers side for a rear drivers side and same on tother side...

Just wasn`t sure if it was a good idea... :thumb:

hi Mo.there is no reason at all why you cant do that.i assume that the 2nd axle tyres have worn evenly,so when you move your fronts onto the 2nd axle it will give them chance to level off the tread:thumb:remember to alter the tyre pressures accordingly and get the wheels which you are putting on the front balanced or you could suffer from steering vibration:winky:
