Bought our new to us van and its great. Before we bought it asked for it to be serviced and hab check as part of deal. Picked up van, told paperwork would be sent through for both but as yet nothing even though we have chased it.

This was 8 weeks ago now. At the time they gave me a printout of a van with damp meter check readings on it, because I insisted I wanted to see there was no damp. He went away and came back with that, could have just written any old figures on for all I know.

Wonder if I can say we want the paperwork by a certain date or will get checks done and send them the bill but te probably wouldnt pay.

What would you do, if anything?

Any reputable dealer would do a mechanical and habitation service before handover and stamp the service records to certify them being done.

I would suggest you insist on the proof

Thank you, yes that is why we are insisting but they keep coming up with excuses, we were also told that log books don't have to be stamped, fine but should still have paperwork.
