Hi again wanting to tour Italy next year. Our problem is that we have a transit that does not conform to the low emission zones for Germany, Italy, Switzerland or Austria. Is it at all practical to consider a tour of Italy under the circumstances? we do not mind parking outside the city zones and using public transport to sight see. Can I make the dream a reality and if so can anyone give us some guidance on how to achieve this. Loads of advice please for dodging the pitfalls of low emission zones.....Bruce and Irene

In June we did 3000 miles in France, Luxembourg, Germany, Italy, Austria, Slovenia and never saw a sign for emission zones. We did have a German sticker but never needed it.

These zones are all city centre.

So go and enjoy yourselves but keep your eyes open.
